  The Department of Arts conducted an Expert Lecture on 27th January 2025.
  Speaker - Ms. Akanksha Samson
  Topic- Concept of Smart cities in India 

  She explained the basic idea of a smart city or what makes a city, Smart city. 
  Further more she explained that The Smart Cities Mission in India is an ambitious urban renewal and retrofitting program launched by the Government of India in 2015. Its primary goal is to transform 100 selected cities across the country into smart and sustainable urban centers. The mission aims to enhance the quality of life for citizens by providing efficient services, robust infrastructure, and a sustainable environment.

  At last she concluded that, 
  By leveraging technology and innovation, the mission aims to create smart, sustainable, and inclusive cities that provide a high quality of life for their citizens. While challenges remain, the opportunities presented by the mission are significant and can contribute to India's overall development.
